Outside of acting, Séainín has a plethora of personal achievements and is educated to an extremely high standard. She is also fluent in Spanish and French and speaks Italian very well.

Séainín read a BA Honours Degree in European Studies at the University of Ulster and went on to win a coveted scholarship to read a Master's Degree in European Political Administration at the world renowned College of Europe in Bruges. 

Séainín then won a prestigious internship at the Secretariat General of the European Commission in Brussels before training professionally at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA), Surrey and the Irish Film Actors Studio, Dublin.

In 2009, Séainín was a finalist in the 'Inspirational Woman of the Year' category at the Belfast Telegraph 'Woman of the Year' Awards, having personally raised more than £100k for Hospice Care in Ireland.

In 2010, Séainín's White Sapphire Ball, which raised £72,000 for NI Children's Hospice, won Most Glamorous Event at the IN! Magazine Glamour Awards.


In 2012, Séainín was named 'Woman of the Year in the Arts' for her breakthrough performance in the BBC Primetime Drama 'HIDDEN'. Read more
